Passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 3rd, 2017, at Pioneer Manor.

Beloved wife of Simon Joseph “Joe” Maloney predeceased 1994. Loving mother of Patrick (Marie), Sean (Barbara), Peggy (husband Bill Fisher), Susan (husband Paul Henn), Tim (wife Sheridawn), and Stephen (wife Cheryl). Cherished grandmother of Tricia, Molly, Meghan, Ryan, Katherine, Alex, Charles, Drew, Jessica, Liam, Erin, Rachel, Keira, and great grandchildren Olivia, Noah, Daniel, Matthew, and Ethan. Dear daughter of Alex and Martina (Kyle) Strachan both predeceased. Dear sister of Joanne McBride and predeceased by Angus, Lorne, Eldon, Edgar, Raymond, Rita, and Helen. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Special friend of Doreen Holmes.

Irene will be remembered as a devout Roman Catholic who accepted others without hesitation or judgment. She was devoted to her loving family and she was happiest when in their company.

The family expresses their appreciation to the staff at the Pioneer Manor for their excellent care, compassion, and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
