Condolence From: John and Karen MacKinnon
Condolence: Jessie, Sandra, Brian ,Barry and other family members, The lovely picture you chose of your mother for her obituary is truly how I remember Catherine Annie . My first memories of you mother are of her walking with me in Dartmouth when I was only about 5 or 6 ys old during her stop over on a journey to Boston or Ontario.? At that time she and my mother were discussing watching a movie late into the evening . Mom decided to head to bed but Catherine Annie decided to watch the movie and because of that I got my first look at "Sophia Loren "and to have some special time with mon's baby sister. Catherine Annie always extended the gracious Rocky Ridge hospitality when I landed in Sudbury for work during summers in the late 60's. Your mom, your dad and all you guys made me feel at home away from home. Still don't know how you guys made the long trip from Sudbury to Cape Breton with six people and Hector!!!Think it had a lot to do with Catherine Annie's determination.

Condolence: Jessie, Sandra, Brian, Barry and family. We were very saddened to learn of Catherine Annie’s passing. She was such a kind sweet lady and it was always a pleasure to see her at all the Cape Breton functions in Sudbury. Her and your dad were such a big part of my growing up...we looked forward to their music at the dances, weddings and parties through the years. Our hearts go out to you all during this sad time. Catherine Annie will indeed be missed!
