In loving memory of Joyce Lalonde (nee Hurtubise) who passed away on Thursday, April 5th, 2018 at Health Sciences North at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Philippe Lalonde predeceased. Loving mother of Michel (Florence) of Sudbury, Jean-Pierre (Kathy) of Cambridge and Andre (Carol-Ann) of Hanmer. Dear sister of Anne Robert (John) of Val Caron. Cherished grandmother of Angela Lalonde predeceased, Anique Lalonde, Jessica Lalonde and Melissa Lalonde and step-grandmother of Joanne Dionne, Joel Schryer (Monique), Roxanne Tessier (Richard) and Deric Schryer (Jana), great grandmother of Katsia, Chloé, Zoé and Jérémie and step great grandmother of Alexandre, Natalie, Roxanne, Juliette, Eric, Jasmine, Karina, Brayden, Eliana and Adrian. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Yvonne (Lefevbre) Hurtubise. Joyce was a resident of Wahnapitae for over 60 years being one of the originals who settled there. She was a well-respected teacher for 35 years in Wahnapitae teaching grade 1 & 2. She was not only a teacher but became a friend to her students in later years. Joyce loved camping at Grundy Lake Provincial Park and in Sturgeon and especially loved her faithful canine friend Vimmy. The family wishes to thank the staff at Southwind Residence, the dr’s, nurses and staff at Health Sciences North on the 4th, 8th, and 9th floor north tower. Including Dr’s Singh, Ranger, Goluch and family physician Dr. Urban.

A memorial mass will be held on Monday, April 9th, 2018 at 10am at St. Jean de Brebeuf Church, 26 Kathleen Street, Sudbury. Friends may call at the church after 9:30am.
