Thursday, May 10th, 2018 at Health Sciences North.
Beloved wife of Clifford Mahon predeceased 1988. Loving mother of Diane Roy (husband Paul), Sandra Grenier (predeceased), Frank Mahon (wife Lois), Ann Schroeder (husband Gerry predeceased), and John Mahon (wife Kathy). Cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren. Dear daughter of Jack and Edith Collins of Rush Lake Green, Heathfield, England, both predeceased. Dear sister of Cuthbert predeceased. Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews.
Born in Sussex, England, Kathleen met Clifford, a Canadian soldier, and married in 1945. At the age of 18 she embraced the adventure of life, and without hesitation moved to Canada and started her family. She worked as a seamstress and became a devoted mom to 5 children. Upon retirement, she wintered in Florida, and while there was an active member of the Retread Motorcycle Club. In her later years, she was a proud member of the Red Hats, Sudbury Seniors Club, and past president of the War Brides. She was an avid reader, knitter, sewer, and in recent years showed her creativity in the beautiful greeting cards she made. She will be missed by so many for her kindness, loyalty, tenacity, patience, for modeling respect and never saying a bad word about anyone. She will be missed but will always be in our hearts for being such a great friend, an amazing Nana, and a loving Mom.
