In loving memory of Lorraine Barbe (née Gosselin) 87 years Friday morning, July 13, 2018 at Health Science North, Sudbury.
Lorraine was born in Coniston and married Hector in 1953 in Coniston. Lorraine is remembered for her skills as a seamstress, knitter and embroiderer. She was also an amazing cook and baker, known for her delicious Christmas cake and cookies. Friends and family could drop in at any time and would be welcomed with a smile. She was a member of the Coniston Lioness. Lorraine loved to dance and whenever music played, you could see her feet tapping.
Beloved wife of Hector Barbe, predeceased of Coniston. Loving mother of Gisèle (husband Larry Ng) of Thornhill, Louise of Port Dover, Gilles (wife Brenda) of Coniston, Pierre (wife Sharon) of Coniston, Nicole of Ottawa. Cherished memère of Kevin, Scott, Sara, Danielle and Nathalie. Dear daughter of Aimé and Laurette Gosselin, predeceased. Dear sister of Fernand (wife Aline) both predeceased, Cécile (husband Bernard, predeceased), Claudette (husband Marcel), Patricia (husband Jimmy). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, July 18th, 2018 at Notre Dame de la Merci, 42 Edward Ave., Coniston at 11am. Friends may gather at the church after 10:30am.
