John Arnold Merits
1962-2018

Loving son of Arli (predeceased) and Henrietta (Dubé) Merits. John leaves behind the love of his life Debbie Gilpin. He will be sadly missed by his “second mother” Irene Gilpin and the extended Gilpin family. John will be lovingly missed by his brothers Ken (Kimberley) and Brian, nephew Joel, niece Kassandra and many aunts, uncles, cousins from near and far.
John will be remembered as a gentle soul, the family storyteller and always ready with a joke or two. John enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and cared deeply for everyone in his life.

At John’s request there will be no visitation or service.
Donations in John’s memory would be greatly appreciated to the Northern Cancer Foundation.
Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
Interment at the Civic Cemetery.
