Obituary for Michael "Glen" Kirwan

Glen Kirwan

On November 20, 2018 Glen Kirwan passed away at the age of 76 leaving us with special memories.

Beloved son of the late Mabel and Michael Kirwan and step son of the late Alex MacLean. Beloved brother of Shirley McNamara, Hughie (Darlene), Francis MacLean (predeceased), Mary Chisolm, Monica Hickey (Raymond), Anna Proctor, Donald MacLean (Tina), Allan MacLean (Agnes), Robert George Kirwan (predeceased), Valentine “Sonny” MacLean (predeceased) and Theresa Cowells (predeceased). He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.

Glen’s sense of humor, his laughter and his smile will always be in our hearts. Glen was a social butterfly who loved talking to everyone. There were always stories to be told about his days on the farm, his driving skills, or his trips camping or to Toronto. Glen’s love of life was evident in everything he did and by the smile on his face. He was always looking out for everyone and always willing to give a helping hand. Knowing Glen has given us all a better understanding of what strength, endurance and perseverance truly means.

A special thanks goes out to Glen’s extended family at the Cedar Residence. Especially to Nancy and “Trishy”. The family would also like to thank Dr. Duncan for the care given to Glen.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sudbury Development Services – Cedar Residence would be appreciated.
