I was saddened to hear of Claudia’s Nonna’s passing. Although it’s been a few years since I’ve seen her, my memories of her mostly go back to when we were teenagers; either in the garden, checking on the vegetables or in the downstairs kitchen preparing food. I had the pleasure of tasting her homemade pizzas and pastas on more than a few occasions. She was a loving woman who easily extended her care to friends, like myself. I can see how this philosophy; of sharing what you have, even if not a lot, has been adopted by her family and it’s one of the main things that has always stood out to me. I just want to send my condolences to the entire family and let them know that there are some of us out here who are missing her as well.
