Obituary for Rosemary Yvonne Yrcha (Bradshaw)

YRCHA, Rosemary - "She was good" in oh so many ways. Rosemary Yvonne Yrcha (nee Bradshaw) finished in the 10th end with the hammer. She's on the 19th green to cheer the Raptors on to victory beside her beloved Blue Jays. An avid sports fan and participant, Rosey ensured she knew her sports well. Not only did she have TSN bookmarked as a favourite on her computer, her library included "How-to Books" on every sport she participated in and followed. It is with this newfound knowledge that her competitive streak came to light! All of her teammates and opponents can attest to her passion and love of the game...whatever it was!! When she was off the rink or golf course, she was enjoying the company of her female friends, doing crosswords, watching the Big Bang Theory, planting flowers and of course, shovelling the deck!! In years past, she dominated the kitchen…you name it, she made it! Dessert every night! Thank you Mom! Family favourites included cabbage rolls, lasagna, ribs, and by far the best turkey dinner ever! Christmas was Rosey's specialty! She hosted Christmas Eve, Chrismas Brunch, Christmas Dinner and Boxing Day! We did what we were told...which wasn't much! Her earlier years also included a dedicated career in the grocery business. Her grocery years included Dominion, Mr. Grocer, and the Independent, where she retired at the age of 69. Strong work ethic...you had it, mom! Thank you for that. Rosey's clothes were impeccable…every piece ironed to perfection, even her uniform! She loved to give both in the material and non-material ways. Her affection for animals, especially polar bears, was an example of her warm, caring heart. She was known to her family as Rosey, Nanny, Mom, Guppie, Rose, and Rosemary and she responded to all. Rosey and Bob wed each other on Halloween Day 60 years ago. Together they raised Wendy (Frank) and Shelley (Kevin). Grandchildren, Norah, Andrew, and Katie are all in her heart. Ron, Karen, Ray and their families say good bye to their little sister. Miss you, love you large.
