Nerina (nee Mei) Dorigo
95 years
Peacefully on Friday, June 14th, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Villa.
Beloved wife of Bernard “Benny” Dorigo predeceased 1997. Cherished daughter of Nazzareno and Virginia (Bernacchia) Mei both predeceased. Loving sister of Faye Longarini (Nello) both predeceased, Cleda Tramontini (Pat predeceased) and loving sister-in-law to Lena Dorigo (Vic predeceased), Alice Cecutti (Bert) both predeceased, Bill Walimaki (Shirley predeceased) (Susan) and Daniel Dorigo predeceased. Loving aunt of Jane Tegel (John), Doreen Blake (Tony), Robert Longarini (Kathy), Brian Tramontini, Donna Tramontini (Dan Sauve), Barbara, Debbie, Nancy, Anne Marie, Angela, Dale, Dawn and lovingly remembered by many great nieces and nephews and their families. Nerina was born in Fano, Italy moving to Copper Cliff in 1928. She has been the office manager at Mei Fuels and Henninger’s Diesel retiring in 1987. A devout Roman Catholic she faithfully attended St. Stanislaus Church and she was a member of the Parish CWL for 70 years. She was one of the executives of the Copper Cliff Italian Club for many years. She was an excellent cook and avid gardener. Nerina was always quick to help others. The expresses their appreciation to the staff and volunteers of the Walford Residence and St. Joseph’s Villa for their excellent care, compassion and support.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph’s Villa would be appreciated.
