Obituary for Nelson Ward Wall
It is with great sorrow, the family of Nelson Wall announces his passing on Sunday, February 16th, 2020 at Health Sciences North. Nelson was 87 years of age. Beloved husband of 65 years to Mary Wall (nee Ward). He is also survived by his children Karen Sarsfield (George), Ramona Laderoute (Don “Butch”) and Perry Wall (Olive Njeri). He was a grandfather to 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Nelson was predeceased by his parents and siblings. He was raised in Shawville, Quebec. He was a Korean War Veteran and an INCO retiree. Nelson was an active member of the Korean War Veterans Association, the COPD Association, participated in Legion card parties and really enjoyed playing the lottery.
Resting at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home (233 Larch Street, Sudbury) Thursday, February 20th, 2020 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Friday, February 21st, 2020 at 1:00 pm. Friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday after 11:30 am. Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation Cancer Center would be appreciated by the family.
