Obituary for Bernice Edna Larouche (Hawkins)

In loving memory of Bernice “Bunny” Larouche (nee Hawkins) who passed away Sunday, April 5th, 2020 at the Elizabeth Center at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Roland “Rolly” Larouche of Lively. Cherished mother of Patti Reynolds (Ivan) of Sudbury. Loving grandmother to Kristina Neuman (Marco) of Toronto and Erica Neuman (John) of Sudbury and great grandmother of Keyanna Knuff. Predeceased by her parents Alfred and Pearl Hawkins, brother Bob Hawkins (June) and sister Clarine Ford (Kenneth). Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews of the Ford and Hawkins families. Bunny’s favourite pastimes were bowling, golf, softball, scrapbooking, and working on the family tree. She also loved to dance, anywhere and anytime. She always had a smile on her face for everyone and her grandchildren and great granddaughter were the loves of her life.

Bunny leaves a rich legacy of love, faith, and devotion and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is now with friends and family that have passed and is surely having a glass of wine with Carol and Linda.

To the staff at the Elizabeth Center that went above and beyond to grant Patti and Roland the moment to say their last goodbyes, you are heroes. Thank you, we will never forget what you did. To all the PSWs that were a part of Bunny’s care, in various ways, you are also heroes. You made our lives better, knowing that Bunny was well looked after. We will be missing you, always in our hearts.

There will be no service but a celebration of will be held at a later date. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be greatly appreciated.
