Mrs. Cropper was a beautiful person inside & out, She was a gentle soul and always a pleasure to greet. I only knew Shirley & Bob through attending The Salvation Army Church, where they both were held in high regard. Rest in Peace.

Condolence: To Bob Sr., Robert, Rhonda, Yvonne, Michael, Rose, Wayne, Melissa, Dennis and Cheryl, I want to assure you of my prayers, and my families prayers, for each of you as you join together to honor Shirley and her life. What an amazing woman of strength, wisdom, faith, compassion and love.
My sister and I were remembering the youth events at your home when we were little and how much fun that was with so many kids being around and how supportive Shirley was for those events to take place. I will remember more recently my times of conversations at her kitchen table as we shared with each other about family, life and of course our faith.
What an honor it was for me to become her Officer and pastor and to learn from her faith and to learn of God's faithfulness as Shirley and Bob shared with me of God's faithfulness to them and His enduring grace. The memory that touched me the most though, was when I went to visit Bob in the Hospice one afternoon and I found Shirley cuddled in Bob's arms resting. What a beautiful sight of love and commitment between two people who had lived and endured so much in life and still had that compassion and love in such a romantic and intimate way.
Thank you for reminding me that love does exist and can endure the seasons of time only to become better and better.
I feel the Lord has blessed my life in allowing our paths to reconnect a few years ago and to renew our relationships and to be able to share our faith with each other. Looking back, it has been over 44 years that our families have known each other through our faith in Jesus Christ. I am praying that our knowledge and faith in Christ will continue to embrace us as we celebrate Shirley's life, and her faith in Christ, and how that will and has affected each of us. May we remain faithful to our faith in Christ so we might all be together again on the New Earth and the New Heaven where there will be no more crying, or pain, or sorrow.
