It is with great sorrow that the family announces her passing on Friday, July 24th, 2015 at Pioneer Manor surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Roy Smith predeceased. Devoted mother of Mahlon (Linda) and Rodney (Lynn). Cherished Neenee of Brenann (Fiancé Cody) and Kelsey (Fiancé Patrick). Dear sister of Hawley, Dave and Cletus Frost all predeceased. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Helen will be remembered for her kindness and big heart. She was a member of the Ottawa Valley Club and the Royal Canadian Legion; Ladies auxiliary BR.76. She was a volunteer for many years at the Memorial Hospital Gift Shop and was a long time member of Church of the Epiphany. Helen was the epitome of what it means to be a decent human being. Heaven is truly getting an angel! At Helen’s request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the SPCA or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
