Peacefully, Tuesday, August 25th, 2015 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury.

Beloved husband of Lila (McGibbon) Lawson predeceased 1985; and Frances (Longe) Lawson. Loving father of John Lawson (Paula), Leeanne Joseph (Roger), Danny Laforest (Kathy), Lori Stevens (Barry), Gerry Laforest, Michelle Rollins (Tommy) and Julie Dodge. Cherished grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Dear son of Jack and Muriel (Tomlinson) Lawson predeceased. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews.

John had been a maintenance mechanic at INCO retiring in 1995. A proud Canadian, he spent many happy times at Camp Kagawong on Manitoulin Island. He was devoted to his family. The light of his life will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
