Loving husband of Lana Mathewson for 27 years. Devoted Dad of Crystal, Melody (Mario), Misty (Peter) and David (Josh). Adored Papa of Justin, Javontae and Deron. Son of Jim and Carole Gerow (nee Smith) both predeceased. Cherished brother of Debi, Cathy (Russ), Cindy (Danny), Barry and Dale (Ellen) and predeceased by John and Lori. Son in law of Bill and Myrna Mathewson and brother in law of Bill (Trina) and Craig (Leanne). Will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ron worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for over 25 years. He wasn’t happy unless he was covered in grease and under a vehicle. He was always willing to lend a helping hand for his friends, family and strangers alike. Ron was happiest when he was with his family, nothing was more important to him. We will be eternally grateful for all the lessons and memories he has left us with.
Donations to the Zane Cohen Centre for Digestive Diseases would be appreciated by the family.
A memorial mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church in Garson on Friday, November 27th, 2015 at 10am. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home.
